Summary
Love of music unites the four members of the band Given: hotheaded guitarist Uenoyama， playboy drummer Akihiko， gentle bassist Haruki， and Mafuyu， a singer gifted with great talent and burdened by past tragedy。 Their struggles and conflicts may drive them apart， but their bond to the music—and to each other—always brings them back together again。
As the band focuses on creating new songs and preparing for a music festival tryout， Haruki grows more and more intimidated by the talents of younger members Mafuyu and Uenoyama。 Worried that he’s holding them back， he accepts his ex-girlfriend’s request to play in her band。 Meanwhile， Akihiko realizes that Haruki has fallen in love with him， setting the stage for a major change in their relationship。

Depois de ler esse volume， percebi que o vol。 3 foi a calmaria antes da tempestade。 🙃Fiquei muito triste pelo Haruki， tanto pela questão do Akihiko quanto pela própria situação dele na banda， os sentimentos dele em relação a isso e etc。 E claro né， o que o Akihiko fez não ajudou em nada。 Tomara que ele não saia da banda - nem mesmo momentaneamente - e que as coisas se acertem aos poucos， queria muito ver todos eles felizes。 🥺

Hasta ahora， fue el tomo que más me gustó。 La historia se vuelve más complicada y compleja。 Conocemos más la historia de ciertos personajes， para entender el porqué actúan como lo hacen。 Ya me encariñé MUCHO con los personajes principales， entiendo que a cierta gente no le haya gustado el camino que tomó la historia， pero en mi caso creo que la hizo más interesante y esa escena en particular complejizó todo。

This volume is a tough one to review because it is heart breaking， emotional as all hell， well written， but also problematic。Ueno， and Mafuyu take a back seat in this volume， with the two of them only having small moments here and there。 However， Mafuyu is slowly coming out of his shell by allowing Ueno to help him write the new song he is working on。 Also， Mafuyu is very good at reading people， which really helps his music。The Ugetsu/Kaji/Haruki issue came to a head in this volume。 We learn fro This volume is a tough one to review because it is heart breaking， emotional as all hell， well written， but also problematic。Ueno， and Mafuyu take a back seat in this volume， with the two of them only having small moments here and there。 However， Mafuyu is slowly coming out of his shell by allowing Ueno to help him write the new song he is working on。 Also， Mafuyu is very good at reading people， which really helps his music。The Ugetsu/Kaji/Haruki issue came to a head in this volume。 We learn from Ugetsu when he is speaking to Mafuyu that he broke up with Kaji because he knew he was stifling his music abilities。 He still loves him though， and does everything he can to push Kaji away， but caves then moment Kaji comes crawling back。 You can tell he would love to stay with Kaji， but Ugetsu admits he loves music more then Kaji， so the two of them are stuck in this vicious circle of heartbreak。 So， when Ugetsu and Kaji get into a particularly bad fight after Ugetsu pushes Kaji away again， Kaji winds up at Haruki’s door。 We know that in the past， when the two would have a falling out， Kaji would couch surf at random peoples places， often trading sexual favors for a place to stay， since he had nowhere else to go， which isn’t good for anyone’s peace of mind。 However， when he learns that Haruki is subbing in for another band， and his ex’s at that， Kaji loses it。 This is where the problematic scene comes in。 It’s not clear when he figured it out but Kaji knows that Haruki likes him。 That’s why he usually goes out of his way not to let Haruki see his playboy ways， and why he doesn’t even know about Ugetsu。 I feel as if Kaji has placed Haruki on a bit of a pedestal。 He has this toxic relationship with Ugetsu he can’t move on from， but he is subtly aware of Haruki to the point where it’s almost as if he wishes he could go to him， but he shoots himself in the foot every time something good happens with Ugetsu。 So， when Haruki tells him about playing with his ex-girlfriend， he sees it as someone else who loves him running away from him and snaps。 Forcing yourself on a guy you know likes you in order to take out your frustrations on them is not okay。 Yes， he stops when he realizes he’s breaking Haruki’s heart， and he immediately says sorry， but he still did assault him。 It just reflects very badly on Kaji and I don’t think it needed to happen the way it did。 Kaji and Haruki could have both gotten their wake up calls by just having a simple， but horrible fight。 Sexual assault not included。 Yes， I am glad that Haruki laid down some ground rules with Kaji afterwards， and let him know that things weren’t cool。 He cuts all his hair off， which he had been growing even since the day he met Kaji， to basically say ‘fuck you’。 Yes， they live together afterwards but it is a very separate living situation， and Haruki clearly wants to move on。 Meanwhile， Kaji realizes something has got to change on his end after what he did。All in all， yes， there are problematic moments in this volume， but the story itself is so well written， I wouldn’t rate it any lower than 4 stars。 While I still believe the assault scene could have been changed， I get why Kizu wrote the story that way， and I also like the characters reactions after the fact。 It sucks that such a good story has this glaring issue in it， but I still want to see where the Kaji/Ugetsu/Haruki story goes from here。 。。。more

Estoy en shock。 No sé qué decir de este tomo porque creo que profundiza bien en los sentimientos de todos los miembros de la banda pero， por otro lado， creo que la mangaka se ha pasado en ESA escena。 Seguro que de alguna forma ese personaje enmendará sus errores en los siguientes tomos porque es algo demasiado grave y problemático como para que se quede así， con una disculpas a medias。 De momento he puntuado el tomo con 4 estrellas porque tengo la esperanza de que la autora hará algo al respecto Estoy en shock。 No sé qué decir de este tomo porque creo que profundiza bien en los sentimientos de todos los miembros de la banda pero， por otro lado， creo que la mangaka se ha pasado en ESA escena。 Seguro que de alguna forma ese personaje enmendará sus errores en los siguientes tomos porque es algo demasiado grave y problemático como para que se quede así， con una disculpas a medias。 De momento he puntuado el tomo con 4 estrellas porque tengo la esperanza de que la autora hará algo al respecto por lo que no descarto cambiar su puntuación conforme avance la historia。 Haruki se está convirtiendo en uno de mis personajes favoritos。 Es tan humano que es muy fácil empatizar con él。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 This was tough。 Haruki is my favorite and I’m just gonna say HE DESERVES THE WORLD。 I do ship Mafuyu and Uenoyama， but I think it’s a little too early for them to be arguing（ or really Uenoyama yelling at Mafuyu。） I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHY THAT SCENE WAS NECESSARY！？！？！？！！！！？？！？！！？？？ I genuinely liked Akihiko but now I’m disturbed。 I did like seeing more of Haruki’s personality come out in this volume。
